An Instrumental Ensembles Concert Thursday [MARCH 25] at East Central University will present the Flute, Clarinet and Brass Ensembles at 7:30 p.m. in the Ataloa Theatre in the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center.

The Flute Ensemble, directed by Juliana Overmier, will perform "Rhumba" by Michael Coolen; three movements from "Appalachian Suite," arranged by Kelly Via; and "The Comedians' Gallop" by Dmitri Kabalevsky.

Michael Whitmore will direct the Clarinet Ensemble in "His Humour" from "The Fitzwilliam Virginal Book" by Giles Farnaby, "Londonderry Air" and music from the "Threepenny Opera" by Kurt Weill.

The Brass Ensemble, under the direction of Frank Zugelder, will perform "Fanfare 2000" by Caesar Giovannini; "Quidditch" by John Williams; "On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss," arranged by Christopher Prentice; "La Virgen de la Macarena," arranged by Charles Koff, featuring Justin Cody on euphonium; and "Amparito Roca" arranged by Rhandall Doersch.
