East Central University faculty, staff and students, along with the Ada community, can learn about high performance computing as Dr. Henry Neeman, from the University of Oklahoma, will be speaking on the topic the ECU campus Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Estep Multimedia Room of the Bill S. Cole University Center.

With the advent of multicore technology, it won’t be long before cell phones and all types of computers will contain supercomputer technology, according to Clay Carley, instructor of mathematics and computer science.

“Dr. Neeman is an energetic and enthusiastic speaker and is able to speak about supercomputing in plain English,” said Carley. “He will give us a bird’s eye view of the future.”

The presentation, free to the public, is scheduled to be an hour long.
