The top high school and junior high school science projects from across the state will be on exhibit beginning tonight [March 27] at East Central University.

Students will present their research projects at the Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair and their research papers at the Oklahoma Junior Academy of Science. Both are held annually at ECU.

Cash, science-related prizes and scholarships will be awarded in the two competitions.

The Science and Engineering Fair's 240 projects, completed by 270 junior high and high school students, can be viewed from 6 to 10 p.m. tonight and from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday night in Kerr Activities Center. They will be judged during the day Friday.

The OJAS competition has 125 students from 20 schools who began presenting their research papers today. The papers were certified for the state competition earlier at regional competitions across the state.

A number of the OJAS competitors also have entries in the science and engineering fair.

A special awards dinner will be held Friday night and the OSSEF/OJAS awards presentation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Dorothy Summers Theatre.
