Description
Melody Baggech, Doug Laramore, and Rudy Lupinski will present Sound The Trumpet, a recital featuring music for soprano and trumpet, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening, April 4 at the Ada Arts and Heritage Center. The performance will include music of A. Scarlatti, G. F. Händel, Rossini, Purcell, and local composers, Victoria Davison and Rudy Lupinski, as well as several jazz pieces. The concert will be assisted by Bronson Warren on contrabass and Ben Finley on drums.

CIRCAW and her partners are planning events for April’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month; Community Partners are The Chickasaw Nation, Family Crisis Center and the Pontotoc County District Attorney’s office. The main event is “Stomp out Sexual Assault”, a community-wide awareness day scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2013, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., at Wintersmith Park. The event will include a 5-K walk, free hamburgers, entertainment and other free Park activities.

This workshop provides counselors with a general understanding of the identification of eating disorders; understanding of the relationship between eating disorders and self-injurious behavior and best practices for treatment. Kids 4 Kids Street Festival

Description
The Street Festival celebrates the ending of the Kids 4 Kids Clothing and Toy Donation Drive and National Child Awareness Month. This is the last day to bring new clothes and toys for the children of the Kiowa Nation and to have some fun with your own children. There will be free hot dogs, chips and refreshments. There will be booths for different kinds of arts & crafts, moon bounce, and stickball demonstration by the Native American Student Association. The Festival is free and open to the public.
