What is the National Panhellenic Council (NPC)?

The Panhellenic Council serves as the governing body for 3 National Panhellenic Conference chapters on campus, creating a sisterhood of more than 100 women.  Through educational, service, and social activities, the Panhellenic Council strives to develop its members and East Central University student body.

Our vision is to promote in women leadership, diversity, scholastic achievement, and service through relationships within and beyond the Panhellenic community.

NPC Recruitment

Potential new members -- commonly known as rushees -- must go through a recruitment process, traditionally known as rush.

During the recruitment weeks, each woman visits and learns about each organization and meets current members. Mutual selection allows women to choose the chapters they are most interested in while chapters in turn choose the women they are interested in. Following recruitment, women attend a Bid Day celebration, where they receive their official invitation to join one of our 4 NPC
