East Central University is gearing up for a Road Trip – as “All Roads Lead to ECU”

*        Application Deadline: Friday, October 7, 2011 BEFORE 5p.m.
*        Banner Deadline: Monday, Oct. 10.  BEFORE 2 p.m.
*        Winners will be announced at Pep Rally on Oct 13th.
*        Only active student organizations are eligible to participate.
 
PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED IN THE BANNER DIVISION AS FOLLOWS:  
1st  Prize:            $50
2nd Prize:           $25
3rd Prize:            $15

**BANNER REQUIREMENTS, PLEASE READ**

  1. Twin Sheet (Do not use double, regular, queen, or king sized sheet).
  2. Your banner will hang vertically (Long side up and down).
  3. Banner must display your 12" by 12" number in the lower right hand corner If your banner does not meet these three requirements, your entry will be disqualified.
  4. The banner design should follow general homecoming theme.
  5. Teams must use waterproof (acrylic) paints. These banners may be displayed to promote Homecoming must be able to withstand weather. No loose glitter may be used.
  6. Banners must be turned in ready to hang (i.e. NOT WET).
  7. Designs will not be reviewed in advance or pre-approved. The judges have full discretion in judging creativity and originality. If another participant or organization has a similar design, the judges may consider that in the creativity/originality scores.
  8. Participants may begin work on their banner at any time.
  9. The name of the individual or organization entering the banner in the contest must be attached to the back of the banner.

The banner shall be judged only if it meets all requirements. The Office of Campus Life and Leadership will use the banners to promote Homecoming to the University community. Your organization is responsible for hanging your banner at the field and removing it at the end of the game. The Office of Campus Life and Leadership is not responsible for the security of the banners. If an individual or organization wishes to keep their banner after Homecoming, it must be picked up from the University Center rm. 152 by Friday, October 17, 2011 by 4:30pm. All remaining banners will be discarded.
