Tiger Leadership Program

Meet 5P. in Governor’s Room.
Purpose:
- Provide leadership development opportunities
- Provide resources for volunteer projects and agencies
- Program consists of two levels, two years or four semesters
- A mentor level may be in addition to Levels I & II
- Highest level receives leadership designation on university official documents, certificate and graduation honors.
Level I - A person completing the first level will be required to
complete the following:
- Participate in two or more student organizations
There are more than 90 ECU student organizations
- Attend two special lectures concerning leadership and motivation
The Society of Success and Leadership presents monthly interactive live
broadcasts. Additionally, there are guests lecturers on campus at
various times.
- Participate in two community service projects and
serve as a leadership representative for participant registration
Service projects are posted and available monthly. Check out
Service Saturdays for a list of community projects.
- Level I consists of two semesters and must be completed
before Participating in Level II.
- Participate in a designated leadership conference, camp or workshop
- Take the Clifton StrengthsFinder Inventory or like assessment instrument
Level II
- Participate in two or more student organizations and hold an office in one or both.
- Be a team leader for one of two community service projects
- Serve as a mentor to Level I leadership participants
- Level II consists of two semesters.
- Individuals completing Level II may continue to participate as a Leadership Program Mentor.
Service Component
ECU student organizations are required to complete one service project
each year to be an officially recognized campus organization. This
project may be through the Service Saturdays Program or one of their own
initiative. Organizations may utilize Service Saturdays to promote their
projects and attract additional people for their projects as well as
potential membership. Completed service projects will be added to each
organizations web listing they are reported to the Campus Life & Leadership
Office.
Service Saturdays
- Second Saturdays of each month are designated as a day of service.
- Projects are open to any individual or groups for participation.
- Check the Service Saturdays project calendar for a listing of projects and dates.
Working in private residences is not part of this program.
- Registration will be available at the UC the morning of each Service Saturday.
- Continental breakfast will be served at registration
- Transportation will be provided for those without wheels.
