Smart Start South Central is committed to improving the quality of life for the youngest citizens of Pontotoc, Garvin, Murray, and Johnston Counties. By focusing on family support, health, child care, and school readiness, Smart Start South Central works to ensure every child in the four-county area is born healthy and will remain healthy by the time he/she enters school.
As part of Oklahoma’s early childhood initiative, and one of 18 Smart Start Oklahoma communities, Smart Start South Central is dedicated to helping all children succeed in life by emphasizing the need for community investment in the lives of young children.
