Hello my name is Amber Gray and I’m the retention specialist for the Student Academic Success Center at East Central University. I graduated in 1995 from East Central University with a bachelor’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation and in May of 2012 I will complete my Master’s in Education, Secondary School Counseling from East Central University.

I began my career at ECU in May of 2000 as an academic counselor for the Educational Talent Search program and in July of 2004 I accepted the position of academic counselor for the Educational Opportunity Center. My position with the Student Academic Success Center began in February of 2012. This position allows me to serve Native American and Low Income Students with their educational goals. Often students stumble upon obstacles while working towards their degree and it is my job to help students work through problems and stay on course. I have an extensive background in financial aid counseling, scholarship advising and academic advisement.

I look forward to continuing to serve the wonderful students, faculty and staff at East Central University.
