ECU-ATEP Program Changes
ECU-ATEP graduates will now graduate with a BS in Athletic Training and will no longer graduate with a BS in Kinesiology: Concentration in Athletic Training.
The ECU-ATEP has also been officially changed from a 3-year program to a more streamlined 2-year program.
- Traditional 4-year students will work on general education and prerequisite courses during their first two years at East Central and then work on ATEP coursework during their last two years.
- Junior college students that transfer to ECU with an Associate's Degree will be able to come in and take ATEP coursework, allowing them to graduate from ECU within 2-years.
The faculty are excited about these changes and believe they will allow for ECU-ATEP to improve as a program. We look forward to better meeting the needs of prospective students as well as improving the classroom and clinical experience.
If you are a prospective student and have any questions about, or would like to discuss application to ECU-ATEP, please feel free to either call or e-mail me:
