Welcome to the Department of Kinesiology

The Department of Kinesiology's purpose is the preparation of teachers of Health and Physical Education and professionals in the fields of exercise science, athletic training, recreation, and dance. A graduate program in Sports Administration is also offered as an emphasis area in the Masters of Secondary Education degree. Most faculty have dual roles as instructors in Kinesiology and as coaches for the various ECU intercollegiate athletic teams.
