Department of Biology

The Department of Biology provides undergraduate training for students interested in the life sciences and who may wish to pursue careers in this area. The life sciences provide many areas from which students can choose careers; to meet these needs, the Biology Department offers a variety of courses and several majors.

Courses taught in the department emphasize scientific principles and concepts which aid in understanding structure, function, and behavior of the individual organism and how individual organisms interact within the natural environment.
