Health Information Management Professional Practice Experience

Working experience is gained through affiliation with health care facilities and agencies during the second semester of the junior year and continuing through the next two semesters. The first and second semesters of Professional Practice Experience require assignment in a hospital eight (8) hours per week. Professional Management Experience is taken the last semester of the senior year. The course is designed to help the student acquire management skills and consists of affiliation with a health care facility for four weeks (eight hours a day, five days a week).
