Spanish Education

Spanish Education majors develop advanced speaking and writing skills in Spanish, broad cultural awareness, and an understanding of, and the ability to apply classic and current methods of teaching foreign languages. The program prepares majors to obtain teaching positions in Spanish (K-12) as well as positions in where competency in a foreign language is required. In addition to obtaining positions teaching Spanish (K-12), the major also prepares students for graduate study in Spanish, comparative literature, or linguistics. Study Abroad options for earning required credits are available.
