HOSTAGE/CRISIS NEGOTIATION SEMINAR

East Central University is proud to offer the first ever three-day Hostage/Crisis Negotiation Training Seminar. Instructors, Stephen J. Romano and John A. Call, Crisis Management Consultants, Inc., will use a team process to teach the unique curriculum designed for mental health and law enforcement professionals. Topics included:
- Philosophy of Crisis Negotiations
- Active Listening Skills
- Strategies & Techniques
- Incident Assessment
- Suicide Intervention
- Tactical Role of the Negotiator
This exciting training seminar, at the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training Center located in Ada, Oklahoma, is scheduled for September 26-28, 2008. The registration fee is $275 (before September 10) or $300 (after September 10) and the class is limited to the first 50 registrants. All training materials and the lunch are included in the registration fee.
Group rates are available at contract hotels in the Ada area.

Twenty-five (25) mandatory training hours have been approved for law enforcement and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for mental health professionals. Twenty-four (24) hours of CEUs are approved for Psychology.
