The ECU Tiger Card
Your Official Student Account Refund Card
The East Central University Tiger Card is how it's done at ECU! It's your key to receiving financial aid and tuition refunds.
You may have some questions about what to do with your card. Here are the initial steps to successful card use:
1. Look For Your Card In The Mail
Your ECU Tiger Card is now in production and will be mailed to your permanent address beginning in July. If you are not sure which address you registered with the university, please verify your Personal Information at MyECU. If incorrect, please visit the Office of Admissions & Records (Admin. 111).
2. Activate Your Card
After you receive your ECU Tiger Card this summer, you should activate it as soon as possible. It will not work until you do. Activating your card also allows you to select a refund preference. It is the only way you will receive any financial refund from ECU.
3. Make Choices
With the ECU Tiger Card, you have a choice of how to receive refunds from ECU. Your options are:
Direct Deposit (ACH Transfer to your bank):
You may choose to have your refund deposited electronically into your bank account. This transfer may take 2-3 days for your bank to make funds available. However, no fees or withdrawal limits will apply. If you choose this option you still need to activate your ECU Tiger Card.
Easy Refund to the OneAccount:
The FDIC-insured OneAccount has no monthly fees* or minimum balance requirement. With the OneAccount, you can use your ECU Tiger Card to make debit purchases wherever Debit MasterCard® is accepted. The OneAccount is the fastest way to receive a refund. *Certain transaction fees may apply and $500 is the maximum daily cash withdrawal from any ATM.
4. Keep the Card -- Activate Your OneAccount
Even if you choose direct deposit as your refund preference, you still have the option of opening a OneAccount. You may need to use the OneAccount sometime in the future.
