Human Resources
The Human Services Counseling degree prepares students to assist others through an interpersonal helping relationship. This professional relationship with individuals or groups involves assisting with problem prevention or problem solving depending upon the needs of the individual. Counseling students are prepared for entry-level positions in a variety of organizations. The focus of these jobs may be on physical or mental problems, drug or alcohol abuse, aging related concerns, or job seeking problems. The target client group ranges from youth and the aged to those in crisis situations, such as victims of domestic violence, attempted suicide, or rape. |
