The Linscheid Library at East Central University became a US Federal Depository Library in 1914 and a State Depository for the State of Oklahoma in 1978. As a selective depository, the Library receives only some of the documents published by the government. Subject specialists select materials to support the research and teaching mission of the University, as well as the needs of the citizens of the 3rd Congressional District. Documents are distributed to libraries in a variety of formats including paper, microfiche and CD-ROMs. Most of these publications are fully cataloged and accessible through the Library's CatPac.
The Oklahoma Department of Libraries serves as our Regional Depository and, as such, receives all materials distributed through the Federal Depository Program. Materials not held in this library can be borrowed from ODL through Interlibrary Loan.
