Linscheid Library

Reserves Department

The Reserves collection contains books, journal articles, tests and other items selected by faculty for use by their students. Because these items are in high demand, they are placed "on reserve" so many students can use them. Linscheid Library maintains traditional (paper) reserves and electronic reserves. The loan periods for traditional reserve items range from two hours to seven days. Traditional reserve items may be checked out at the Circulation Desk. Patrons will need to present their current East Central University ID to check out reserve materials.

Some traditional reserve items are restricted to room use only. These items may be checked out and read or photocopied, but must remain in the library. For convenience, the library has three photocopiers available for public use.

How to access electronic reserve items:

  • Go to the center column of the library home page.
  • Click on "by course" or "by professor" under the Course Reserves heading.
  • Input the course or professor's name.
  • Electronic course reserves appear in PDF format. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the documents.
