The Spring 1999 meeting of SIGALO was held at Oral Roberts University Library on the campus of Oral Roberts University in Tulsa.  Judith Rigsby introduced Dr. William Jernigan, who welcomed us to their campus.

Victoria Swinney introduced Judith Wilkerson, Serials Librarian for OU's R.M. Bird Health Sciences Library.  Judith presented a program on electronic journal management issues and licensing.  She shared a wealth of information with us.

Starla Doescher chaired the business meeting.  The Fall meeting will be at the Linscheid Library on the East Central University Campus in Ada.  Starla requested ideas for upcoming programs and provided forms for members to fill out and return to her.  Election of two new executive members was held.  Dana Belcher and Barbara Bradley took the incoming positions by acclamation.  Certificates of appreciations were given to Victoria Swinney and Janet Hughes.

Starla announced that Colleen Ward, one of the founding members of SIGALO, has retired.  A thank-you note for all her work will be sent to her.  We had lunch in small groups on campus and some off campus.

A round-table discussion led by Janet Hughes on Microsoft Access Databases followed the break.  Information on using and setting up databases was covered.

After a break, we adjourned the formal meeting and separated into small groups to tour the ORU Library.  It was very interesting.
