ECU GRANT FUNDS NEW VEHICLE FOR CLEET

Dr. Steve Turner (second from right), vice president for finance and administration at East Central University, hands over the keys to a 2011 Dodge Charger to Steve Emmons, executive director of the Council for Law Enforcement Education and Training in Ada. Also shown are Jeff Coble (far left) and Bill Bullard, CLEET law enforcement driver training instructors, and Cassie Holloway (far right), administrative assistant for ECU’s Tribal Police Training Program and the Campus Law Enforcement Technical Assistance Program. The vehicle was funded through a grant awarded to ECU by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and will be used for law enforcement driver training at CLEET. The grant proposal was written by Turner and ECU faculty member Sonya Hensley as part of a partnership agreement with the BIA, CLEET and ECU.
