ECU SYMPHONIC BAND, WIND ENSEMBLE CONCERT SET FOR MARCH 7

The East Central University Department of Music will present the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble Concert on Thursday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m., inside the Ataloa Theatre of the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, is under the direction of conductor Dr. Allen Correll and assistant conductor Dr. Ben Finley.

The ECU Symphonic Band will present musical scores of American Barndance by Richard L. Saucedo and How to Train Your Dragon by John Powell and arranged by Sean O’Loughlin.

The ECU Wind Ensemble will present Canzona by Peter Mennin; Rhosymedre by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Walter Beeler, from a prelude on a Welsh Hymn Tune; Mock Morris by Percy Grainger, transcribed by Joseph Kreines; and Nitro by Frank Ticheli.
