ECU OBSERVING 9/11, HONORING SOFTBALL TEAM AT FOOTBALL GAME SATURDAY AT NORRIS FIELD
A moment of silence will be observed before East Central University's first home football game Saturday [SEPT. 11] on the ninth anniversary of 9/11 -- the terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people in 2001.
The ECU Tigers will play Texas A&M-Kingsville at 6 p.m. at Norris Field on Family Day.
ECU's softball team will be honored at halftime as the 2010 Lone Star Conference Softball Championship runner-up in NCAA Division II.
The ECU Alumni Association will host a Legacy Tailgate party from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., including a Pass for Cash contest. Association members also will shoot t-shirts into the crowd during the game.
