ECU HOMECOMING PARADE STARTS AT MAIN, STOCKTON THIS YEAR

East Central University’s Homecoming parade will follow a new route this year, from west to east on Main Street and ending at Norris Field. Approximately 40 entries will start the parade at Main and Stockton Streets, led by parade marshals Grace George and Pat O’Neal.
The parade of floats, decorated vehicles, walking groups and bands will begin at noon with entries following the theme “All Roads Lead to ECU.”
The parade will turn left at the intersection of Main and Hope Streets, then right onto 10th Street. At Francis, it will turn left, then right onto 9th Street and proceed to Stadium Drive. At Stadium Drive, the parade will turn right and stop at Norris Field Stadium.
Grace George is a retired ECU faculty member and the widow of former ECU football coach Elvin George. Pat O’Neal retired as ECU’s head football coach in 1990.
