Honor Graduate Recognition Ceremony

The Honor Graduate Recognition Ceremony will be held at 8:00 a.m. on graduation morning, May 11, 2013, in the Dorothy I. Summers Theater located in Science Hall.

This ceremony, hosted by faculty sponsors of campus honor societies, recognizes all students graduating with academic honors from ECU. Students should arrive dressed in their caps and gowns by 7:45 a.m. Sponsors from the academic honor societies and the director of the University Scholastic Honors Program will formally award academic regalia, such as honor cords, medallions, or stoles, to each student as he or she is called to the stage. Family members are welcome to attend.

After the ceremony, an opportunity for photos is available. The ceremony will conclude in time for students to report for morning graduation at 9:15 a.m. Students should consult with their individual honor society to make sure their graduation regalia has been ordered and to make sure they are included in the ceremony.
