EDUCATION/LIBRARY MEDIA

Instructor/Assistant Professor/Tenure-track, if eligible

East Central University (ECU) is a student-centered regional state university located in Ada, Oklahoma. ECU offers thirty-three undergraduate baccalaureate degree programs in arts and letters, business, education, mathematics and sciences, nursing, and the social sciences. Eight masters' degrees are offered in education, human resources, and psychology. ECU's 4,500 students come from 24 countries and 25 different states. About 70% of the 165 faculty members hold doctorates.

DUTIES: Faculty position teaching twelve load hours per semester of Library Media courses, academic advising, supervision of internships, online course development, summer grant activities, and committee assignments. Some travel required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master of Education in Library Media or related degree required. Experience working in public school library required. Experience teaching with technology required. Preferred qualifications include online teaching experience and a PhD. If master's degree, must be willing to pursue PhD in compliance with grant guidelines. A strong record of teaching excellence, scholarly activity and professional service is expected.
