Office Manager - Student Support Services TRIO Grant - sECUre success
The Office Manager, reporting to the Project Director, is responsible for the day to day management of the sECUre success Office in support of the fulfillment of the grant objectives. The Student Support Services, sECUre success, project will assure that the economically, educationally, geographically, and culturally disadvantaged students in ECU's primary service area who meet SSS eligibility requirements gain postsecondary education access, experience postsecondary success, break the cycle of underachievement, and create better lives for themselves and their families as well as the people and communities they will serve in the future.
Responsibilities
- Perform clerical duties and serve as receptionist
- Type all correspondence
- Prepare monthly reports
- Assist the Director in supervising the tutors/SLA leaders
- Supervise the Academic Success Lab
- Assist Retention Specialists with paperwork to complete the student enrollment process
- Track monthly budget expenses
- Process purchase requisitions and travel requests
- Procure office supplies for project
- Maintain calendar for student appointments
- Maintain database and student files
- Perform other duties assigned by the Director
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED required, bachelor's degree preferred; ability to type 40-50 words per minute correctly required; and two years prior experience in secretarial or office management preferred. The successful candidate will have the ability to supervise, train and evaluate student employees and have computer skills, including ability to manage computerized databases.
