Welcome to the Legal Studies Program
Law impacts every career field and ECU offers a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies. An undergraduate Legal Studies degree creates broad career potential. It offers a solid foundation for entry into law school. It provides you with a liberal arts degree emphasizing analytical and communication skills applicable in any law related field. And, it provides the necessary academic skills for entry level employment as a legal assistant/paralegal with law firms, private business enterprises, and governmental agencies. Paralegals may not provide legal services directly to the public, except as permitted by law. "Paralegal" is one of the fastest growing career fields.
The Legal Studies Major is "Approved" by the American Bar Association (ABA).
