Let’s Get Started: Student Success: Ashlee: Did you know that ECU holds an orientation and welcome week for all new students before the start of the fall semester? This week of festivities allows students to explore the campus, make new friends and most importantly the opportunity to become familiar with the ECU campus. So before classes begin most students already know several faculty and staff members. ECU has a student enrollment of about forty-five hundred with the average class size being about twenty one students.

As a freshman, you will be able to take part in ECU’s Living and Learning Communities. Through this experience, you will build strong, lasting friendships, share ideas with other students and enjoy out-of-class interaction with faculty.
Ashlee: Are you worried about meals? Don’t be! ECU offers delicious menu items such as homemade waffles, pizza, “food just like Mommas’ home cooking” and all the desserts you could possibly want! If you want food fast, ECU’s food court in the University Center is the place to grab a quick cup of coffee at Starbucks or a hamburger at the Coyote Grill. If you have a late night snack attack, the convenience store in Pesagi residence hall is the place to go. For more information about our residence halls and meal plans, click here.
