Bridget Forshay teaches marketing and entrepreneurship courses for the School of Business as an adjunct instructor. Bridget earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 2005 and a BA in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1997. She joined East Central University in 2007 managing multiple grant programs in the Department of Continuing Education and Community Services and serving the community of Ada in community development projects. Bridget is responsible for the management of the ECU Arts Business Incubator and the development of the Arts District of Ada working with entrepreneurs and local businesses for economic development in Ada. Marketing is central focus in her professional career at ECU. Prior to moving to Ada, Bridget worked for the University of Wisconsin and did event planning for CIMH in Sacramento, California. Bridget is a member of Rotary, serves on the the Citizen’s Advisory Board for the Ada Penny for Our City tax, chairs the Main Street Lighting committee, chairs the Arts District of Ada Design Review Committee, Chairs the Incubator Advisory Committee, serves on the Oklahoma Business Week Executive Committee, serves on the Career Discovery Day committee, and often volunteers her time for local events. She is a past President of the Young Professionals of Ada and the chairman of the Community Enhancement committee for the Chamber of Commerce. Bridget is married to Dr. Ken Forshay, an ecologist for the US EPA and works at Kerr Lab. They have two young children and two energetic Jack Russell terriers.
