Patrick D. Fountain
Pat Fountain is a Professor of Business Administration and the Service-Learning Director at East Central University. He earned his BS in Business Administration from ECU in 1980. He holds masters degrees in Regional Science from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, and in Human Relations and Supervision (Organizational Psychology) from Louisiana Tech University. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration Degree from Louisiana Tech University. His professional experience is mainly in the area of Public Relations including having been employed at ECU as Sports Information Director; Murray State College as the Outreach Coordinator; and by the United States Information Agency at the USA Pavilion at the 1988 World’s Fair in Australia. Dr. Fountain is a past President of the Association of Collegiate Marketing Educators and the Ada Rotary Club. He is currently serving as the Treasurer of the ECU Alumni Association and as the Cubmaster of Ada’s Pack 4 and an Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 4 where his son, Nathan, is a Scout. He is a former Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar and a past recipient of the ECU Teaching Excellence Award. In his spare time Dr. Fountain enjoys scouting (over 400 nights of scout camping), traveling and learning about cultures other than his own. He has spent almost four years of his life in Australia and a great deal of time in the Fiji Islands, the home country of his wife Usha. He also spent six weeks as a Visiting Professor at the American University in Paris.
