Dr. Sheilynda Stewart is the director for the Center for Assessment and Institutional Research. Prior to joining East Central University in 2009, she worked for the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education since 2001 as a Programmer Analyst and as Software Development Project Manager in the Strategic Planning and Analysis division. Dr. Stewart has over 10 years experience in the Information Technology industry and has worked for many years at the University of Oklahoma as Research Assistant, Administrative Assistant, and Adjunct Professor for Freshman Programs. Dr. Stewart served as President of the board of the Oklahoma Association for Institutional Research (OK-AIR) and is a member of the Association for Institutional Research (AIR). She earned her Bachelor's of Business Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1985 and a Master of Business Administration degree in Management from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2002. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Adult and Higher Education in 2010 from the University of Oklahoma in Adult and Higher Education. Her research interest is institutional research. In addition, she is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi, Golden Key International, and Delta Mu Delta Business Administration honor societies.
