Dr. Teresa Rothrock is the Director of Assessment for East Central University. She is also assistant professor of English Education in the Department of English and Languages, since 2003. Prior to that time, she served for three years as instructor and Chair of the Interdisciplinary Studies Division at Seminole State College, following a decade of teaching high school English and a graduate assistantship in the English Department of the University of Oklahoma. She has worked with North Central accreditation efforts at the high school, community college, and university levels. Dr. Rothrock earned her Associate’s of Arts from Seminole Junior College in 1986, her Bachelor’s of Arts in English from East Central University in 1990, and her Master’s of Secondary Education, with an emphasis in English Education, from East Central University in 2000. In 2008, she completed her Doctorate of Philosophy in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum, with a focus on English Education, from the University of Oklahoma. She has presented at numerous national and international conferences on writing instruction and assessment and is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English and numerous special interest groups and local affiliates. Dr. Rothrock also serves as the editor of the Oklahoma English Journal.
