Mr Pippin earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education (1986) and his Master of Art in Health and Physical Education (1987) from Tennessee Technological University. In addition to his coach duties, he will teach in the undergraduate Kinesiology Department in the 2013-14 academic year. Mr. Pippin was Defensive Coordinator in the football program at East Texas Baptist University from 2010 to 2013. Previously, he worked nineteen years as an assistant or head football coach at seven universities and junior colleges. For example, he was Head Football Coach at the University of West Alabama from 2001 to 2004, Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Middle Georgia College from 1998 to 2001, and Head Football Coach at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas from 1990 to 1996. In 1994, he won the Junior College National Championship in football.
