Thomas Zeni



Dr. Zeni earned his doctorate in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Oklahoma and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree as well as a Master of Science degree. Before that, Tom graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mercy College in N.Y. with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. In the professional arena, he is a former Human Resources Specialist for one of the world’s largest, multi-national corporations, an experienced business and people manager in the food services/retail industry, and a former entrepreneur and small-business owner. He maintains a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Human Resource Certification Institute, and is a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Tom brings over 10 years of professional management experience to classroom. In the academic arena, Dr. Zeni’s research includes ethical decisio n making and business ethics, emotions in organizations, quantitative methodology and design, counter-productive work behaviors, and leadership. He has published several manuscripts in top-ranked academic journals, as well as authored/co-authored multiple book chapters. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at East Central University, Fayetteville State University, University of Central Oklahoma, Oklahoma City University, and the University of Oklahoma including Business Communication, Human Resource Management, Personnel Selection & Assessment, Compensation & Benefits, Training & Development, Principles of Management, Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, and Applied Statistics.
