ECU Rotaract Club is hosting an “Around the World with Rotaract” International Silent Auction on Tuesday, Feb. 25th in the University Center, 2pm to 7pm. Dozens of handmade and local crafts collected from around the world will be offered for auction. A few of the countries included are:
Bahamas
Nepal
Cambodia
Russia
United States
Morocco
Vietnam
South Korea -

ADA – March 1, 2014 is the application deadline for scholarships that will be awarded for the fall of 2014 and spring of 2015 at East Central University. All applications should be sent to the Student Development Office. This includes incoming freshmen as well as continuing students who have previously received a university or foundation scholarship, or those students who have not received either, but would like to be considered for one. A current transcript must be attached to the application or it will not be reviewed.

ADA – The Oklahoma Community Orchestra is taking the Ataloa Theatre stage at East Central University’s Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center on Saturday, February 22, at 7:30 p.m.

ADA – Internationally renowned soprano, Emily Pulley, will perform a concert on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in East Central University’s Ataloa Theatre, inside the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center.

ADA – East Central University and the Harland C. Stonecipher School of Business will once again participate in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program.
VITA is a national program, supported by the Internal Revenue Service, designed to provide free tax assistance to individuals with basic tax returns, particularly those with low and fixed incomes. The returns in the VITA center will be e-filed. ECU students, along with other volunteers, will provide the service.

ADA – A traveling exhibition of work by living Oklahoma artists, called “24 Works on Paper”, will be open to the public on Feb. 18 at 8 a.m. at the Pogue Art Gallery in the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center at East Central University.
The exhibition will run through March 21 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays at ECU.

ADA – Jim Stovall, entrepreneur, author, humanitarian and nationally-recognized motivational speaker, will share his story in “Yes, You Can!” on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the ECU Foundation Hall inside the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center at East Central University.
Stovall will present an amazing personal and professional story for all ages. The event is free to all and sponsored by Harland and Shirley Stonecipher in association with the ECU Stonecipher School of Business.
