ADA – The board of directors for the Accreditation Council for Business Schools Programs has granted East Central University’s Harland C. Stonecipher School of Business continued accreditation for 10 years.

ADA - Learning how to help people resolve conflicts and move on with their lives can be very rewarding, according to a group of volunteers who do just that.
Each year dozens of Oklahomans agree to give their time and energy to become a volunteer mediator through the Early Settlement Mediation Program. Garvin County is seeking additional volunteer mediators to assist with both community- and court-related disputes.

ADA – Two East Central University professors – Dr. Christine Pappas and W.T. Skye Garcia – were recently recognized with DaVinci Fellow Awards, which honor higher education faculty whose accomplishments reflect creative and innovative approaches that have made a significant contribution to their academic discipline.
Pappas is professor and coordinator for the ECU Department of Political Science and Legal Studies, and Garcia is an instructor of music.
Pappas has a mission to rectify the problem of voter apathy by increasing civic engagement.

An internationally renowned Native American artist, a noted historical performer, an award-winning Choctaw musician and the 2008 Dynamic Women of the Chickasaw Nation will visit East Central University Monday through Thursday [APRIL 7-10] for the annual campus series "On Oklahoma Ground: A Celebration of Native American History."
