Join the many whose road to success started at ECU's Stonecipher School of Business now located in the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center. This three story, 14 million dollar building was opened in August of 2013. The first floor houses a conference center, snack bar and meeting rooms. The main meeting room, equipped with excellent sound and video capabilities, is also a safe room able to withstand a tornado. The second floor houses world class, state of the art Stonecipher School of Business classrooms including a finance lab, moot court room, 71 seat theater, a computer lab and several student lounge areas. The third floor houses the Dean's Suite, faculty offices, conference rooms, computer labs, a student work area and several lounge areas. Degree Options


The accounting program offers a wide selection of courses that delve into such diverse areas as financial reporting, managerial decision-making, governmental accounting, taxation and auditing. Accounting students, faculty, alumni and prospective employers all work together so that East Central University's accounting graduates can enter the world of business with superior qualifications and training. Professional organizations such as the Oklahoma Society of CPA's and the Institute of Management Accountants provide strong support to the Accounting program and its students!

Master of Science in Accounting

The Master of Science in Accounting is designed to prepare students to move into leadership positions in manufacturing companies, governmental units, not-for-profit entities, public accounting firms and other professional or service organizations. The unique combination of human skills, knowledge and technology imbedded in the curriculum will prepare graduates for these opportunities. The program curriculum has been specifically designed to provide an educational experience which will prepare students to successfully complete all portions of the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam, while earning an advanced degree.

Master in Management (new program - not yet accredited by ACBSP)

The Master in Management (MiM) is primarily a degree for those whose first degree is outside the business field or who have a degree in a business field, but would like to update their knowledge. 
The program is primarily for someone in one of the following three groups: 
1. Students who have just completed a nonbusiness undergraduate degree whose first job prospects would be enhanced with the completion of a graduate degree in business. 
2. Full-time employees with a nonbusiness undergraduate degree who are entering or hope to soon enter a management position. 
3. Full-time employees who have a business degree but find themselves underemployed or who have not been employed in a management position.

Business Administration

A Business degree provides the concepts and skills for success in business and for future study. Areas studied include financial and quantitative analysis, business law, entrepreneurship, managerial decision-making, ethics, marketing,accounting, written and oral communication, economics and computer expertise. A Stonecipher School of Business degree meets the needs of the highly competitive and ever-changing business world through small classes, personalized advising, quality faculty, and world class facilities!
