Candidacy

Students who have been admitted to a Graduate Degree Program must submit an application for Admission to Candidacy for the master’s degree no later than the end of the second week of the semester or term in which 60% of the program course work will be completed. Advancement to Candidacy for the master’s degree results from a formal procedure. To be advanced to Candidacy, a student must be in good standing and must:

  1. complete 60% of the program requirements;
  2. complete standardized test(s) required by the Academic Department;
  3. hold a GPA of 3.0 in all work attempted in a degree program
