Students seeking employment in health clubs, recreational facilities, hospital-based wellness programs, cardiac rehabilitation programs, and sports medicine clinics may find a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology beneficial. Students study human movement, giving students the means to educate the total person for living in an enlightened society. The Department of Kinesiology coursework includes a core of courses in the broad field of Kinesiology and additional specialty courses in exercise science concentrating on knowledge and skills necessary for appropriate exercise testing, prescription, and leadership. Many exercise science majors are prepared for working with special populations, such as senior citizens, or prepared to be a physical trainer. We also offer a minor in Kinesiology.
