The Department of Environmental Sciences at East Central University encompasses the Environmental Health Science Program and the Geography and Geotechniques Program.

The Environmental Health Science Program offers courses leading to a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health Science. EHS graduates are prepared for careers as environmental consultants, environmental health specialist, field sampling technician, public health officer, or a water treatment operator among many others.

The Geography and Geotechniques program offers courses leading to a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Cartography. Geography and Geotechniques majors are prepared for careers as air quality analyst, community planner, geographer, cartographer, intelligence analyst, land surveyor and meteorologist and more.
