East Central University
ECU is a student-centered regional state university located in Ada, Oklahoma. ECU offers thirty-three undergraduate baccalaureate degree programs in arts, business, education, mathematics, sciences, nursing, and the social sciences; and six master's degrees in accounting, education, human resources, psychology, management, and water resources. ECU's 4,200 (average) students come from 35 countries and 22 different states. About 65% of the 147 full-time faculty hold doctorates.
Primary job function is the operation, maintenance and installation of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and operation of boilers and boiler rooms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operation and maintenance of: Walk-in Freezer and Coolers, Chillers and Cooling towers, Ice machines repair and maintenance, Air conditioning, large and small (summer). Boilers from 8:00 am.-5:00 pm. (winter). Perform preventive maintenance as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or General Education Certificate (GED); two years college or vocational school
Customer service oriented
Energetic and self-motivated
Assist with the continued enhancement of ECU by modeling appropriate behavior for and towards students and staff, and by displaying professional conduct at all times
Must be able to hear and speak in fluent English to exchange information in person, on the telephone, or using a two-way radio system
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
State Mechanical License Required, State Boiler License and Oklahoma CDL license and Class B license with air brake is a plus but not required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of all phases of troubleshooting and maintenance of air conditioning, heating, electrical controls, wiring, and plumbing and brazing copper is essential. Knowledge of Photovoltaic Technology is helpful.

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
