ECU’s Child Development Center Tiny Tiger CCAMPIS Project is seeking a full-time Family Services Specialist to work directly with all children and families served through CCAMPIS monies, with assistant administrative responsibilities within the areas of coordination of ECU CDC curricula program and project components, supervision and human resources, OKDHS Licensing, NAC Accreditation and parent communications. This position will require the successful candidate to work directly with children ages infant – eight years old.
Skills required: The ability to multi-task, excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy and the ability to work with multiple regulatory agencies. Facilitation of providing high quality child care services to the children of ECU students, staff, faculty and the surrounding community.
Minimum requirements for the position include: State of Oklahoma Department of Human Services Oklahoma Child Care Director’s Credential Silver criteria which include but are not limited to:
- General Education: Post-Secondary course in written and oral communication (Three credit hours in college level English composition will apply.).
- ECE/CD Knowledge/Skills: A minimum of 12 approved credit hours in Early Childhood or Child Development.
- Administration and Management Knowledge/Skills: 18 months’ experience in Early Childhood Administration or 2 college semesters of documented administrative internship or supervised lab.
Desired qualifications: Bachelors in Child Development or Early Childhood Education or related discipline. Prior experience with national accreditation programming for Early Childhood Education recommended.
