Project Director – Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS) Grant

ECU is a student-centered regional state university located in Ada, Oklahoma.  ECU offers thirty-three undergraduate baccalaureate degree programs in arts, business, education, mathematics, sciences, nursing, and the social sciences; and six master's degrees in accounting, education, human resources, psychology, management, and water resources. ECU's 4,200 (average) students come from 35 countries and 22 different states.  About 65% of the 147 full-time faculty hold doctorates.

Responsibilities:  the successful candidate will: 1) coordinate the day to day operations of grant, budgets, invoices, contracts; 2) coordinate quarterly residential/supervisor class schedule, mail to agencies and state office, set up training sites; 3) monitor training sites and evaluate ECU Contract trainer performance; 4) develop and execute contracts, agreements, and invoices for ECU Contract Trainers; 5) maintain records to show fiscal and program responsibilities sufficient to permit inspection monitoring and evaluation of the residential training educational program; 6) revise and develop residential and supervisor training curriculum as stated in the grant; 7) work with statewide area agency training coordinators on training issues; 8) engage in professional development activities that will enhance job performance and unit effectiveness; 9) facilitate annual train-the-trainer conference for ECU Contract Trainers and Agency Nurse Trainers; 10)facilitate quarterly train-the-trainers trainings for agency Nurse Trainers; 11) serve on selection committees for trainers and DD support staff; 12) supervise staff.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University, preferably in human services field, education/special education, adult education. Familiarity with needs of DD population required. DDS Foundations Certification is preferred.  Grant management experience is also preferred.
