The award-winning ECU Speech & Debate Team provides an opportunity for both novice and experienced presenters to develop their skills. Program participants visit campuses in Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, Louisiana, and other states to compete with their counterparts from other campuses. ECU students regularly qualify for and attend national championship tournaments. We are that good.
But winning is not the program's emphasis. Rather, winning is the result of our focus on learning. Tiger forensics helps students learn how to learn and how to share what they have learned with others. We learn how to find out if our ideas are valid, then we learn to organize them effectively and to communicate them clearly and with vigor.
Our program is directed by Dr. Robert Greenstreet, the longest-serving Director of Forensics in Oklahoma, and one of the longest-serving in the nation. Dr. Greenstreet has been recognized by professional associations at the state, regional, and national levels for his scholarship, insight, and dedication to speech and debate.
Come join the fun with the ECU Speech & Debate Team! To find out how you can get involved, contact Dr. Greenstreet at 580.5595485 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Scholarship opportunities are available for program participants.
