The Vision Bank Presidential Leadership Program

The Vision Bank Presidential Leadership Program (PLP) at East Central University is a comprehensive four-year program designed to develop extraordinary leaders within our student body.

The Presidential Leadership Class (PLC), comprised of 15-20 freshman students, focuses on developing leadership skills.  Students chosen for the program must have a minimum ACT score of 22, at least a 3.3 GPA, and must have demonstrated leadership experiences in high school and their community.  The PLC program includes free tuition and a residence hall room waiver for four years for full-time PLC students who maintain an overall 3.0 GPA.  A one-semester credit course on leadership is required. 

The Presidential Leadership Transfer Class (PLT), comprised of 6 transfer students, also focuses on developing leadership skills.  Students chosen for the PLT program must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and must have demonstrated leadership experiences at their community college.  The PLT program includes a tuition waiver and book voucher for two years for full-time PLT students who maintain an overall 3.0 GPA.

Developing extraordinary leaders is one of the missions of The Vision Bank Presidential Leadership Program at East Central University.  In developing extraordinary leaders, The Vision Bank Presidential Leadership Program will introduce and explore leadership theory, leadership practice, and the context in which leaders operate.  Students in The Vision Bank Presidential Leadership Program will be encouraged to be innovative, strategic, and service-oriented, and will have the opportunity to practice the skills necessary to solve problems and lead effectively in diverse situations.
