‘AN EVENING OF HONORS AND RECOGNITION’ TICKETS FOR SALE

ADA – East Central University’s “An Evening of Honors and Recognition” is set for Friday, May 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the ECU Foundation Hall of the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center.

The 2014 Distinguished Honorees and 2013 Centennial Endowments will be recognized at the dinner and awards ceremony. Tickets are on sale now for $30 per person. For tickets, contact Catie Caton at 580-559-5611 or catncat@ecok.edu. The registration deadline is April 18. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated for this event.

The list of Distinguished Alumni include: Bill G. Lance, Senator Susan G. Paddack, Becky Gallup Payton and William C. Thrash (posthumous). The Distinguished Former Faculty includes Dr. Jack W. Pascall and Dr. James O. Danley (posthumous). The Distinguished Service is the Bertha Frank Teague Mid-America Basketball Classic, Distinguished Family is the Bonar/Martin family and the Distinguished Philanthropist is the City of Ada/Ada Jobs Foundation.

Also, the 12 new centennial endowments from 2013 will receive recognition. Those endowments include: the Duane C. and Marian L. Anderson Scholarship for history; Judy Carroll Scholarship for English; Madeline Hargrave Scholarship for education; Frank and Ruth Kennon Scholarship for athletics; three Francis E. Mayhue Scholarships for pre-law; Morgan Family Foundation Scholarship for music education; Jane Muntz Scholarship for music education; Randall and Shirley Pogue Scholarship for mathematics; Dr. Ray Quiett Scholarship – Gerlach Counseling; and Paula Rutledge Scholarship for secondary math education.
