Season tickets are on sale from now until Sept. 6 for the 2012-2013 East Central University Fine Arts Season at the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center on the ECU campus.

The season ticket package, at a cost of $140, includes seven national touring shows, four ECU Theatre productions and all ECU vocal and instrumental concerts along with national/local art shows.

Among the touring shows are: Classical Guitarist Brad Richter, hosted in conjunction with the Ada Arts Council, on Sept. 6; Bobby Hendricks’ Drifters on Sept. 14; “Route 66: Finding Nat King Cole” on Nov. 2; “The Nutcracker” (Oklahoma City Ballet), hosted in conjunction with the Ada Arts Council, on Dec. 1; The Gilbert and Sullivan Players on Jan. 24; Jeri Sager in “Broadway by Jeri” on March 13; and Frank Ferrante in “An Evening with Groucho” on April 9.

Richter began teaching himself to play guitar and compose at age 12. At 19, having no formal music training, Richter was awarded the Presidential Scholarship to the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, where he studied with guitarist Paul Henry and began performing, composing and eventually teaching professionally.

Richter has performed around the globe as a soloist, with renowned chamber ensembles, and in duos with artists such as David Finckel, cellist of the Grammy-winning Emerson String Quartet and director of chamber music at Lincoln Center. His concerts and those of The Richter Uzur Duo (with cellist Viktor Uzur) are featured frequently on national NPR and PBS broadcasts.

Bobby Hendricks’ Drifters had 16 Top 40 Billboard Hits including “Up on the Roof”, “Save the Last Dance for Me”, “This Magic Moment”, “Under the Boardwalk” and “On Broadway”.

A $100 package is available which includes four of the national touring shows, all ECU productions and four more special events. This offer excludes Brad Richter and The Nutcracker.

Individual event tickets are on sale now for the Brad Richter concert at $10 and for The Drifters at $18.
