TRANSITION OF THE EAST CENTRAL UNIVERSITY PRESIDENCY

ADA – New East Central University President Katricia G. Pierson poses with retiring ECU President John R. Hargrave as Pierson officially took over the university’s presidency in a community-wide reception on Tuesday, Feb. 28. “I’ve got optimism because we have the best and brightest faculty in the state of Oklahoma and we have a staff that gives tirelessly, tirelessly to make this place wonderful for one another and our students,” said Pierson.  Hargrave is pleased with Pierson being his successor. “I’m very excited to see her carry on the campus traditions and programs at ECU. She is a brilliant leader with a great work ethic,” said Hargrave. “I believe ECU’s best days are ahead of us. Dr. Pierson and I have a great working relationship and I look forward to working with her as the next ECU president.”
