A graduate of Auburn University, Dr. Koch is an avid Auburn Tigers fan. She has 12 years of public school teaching experience ranging anywhere from teaching 3 year olds to teaching graduate students. Over the past 11 years she has taught in Tennessee, Georgia, and Oklahoma in a variety of schools and a wide range of content areas. She likes to consider herself a generalist. In addition to teaching, she has held various positions including department chair, grade level chair, small group instructor, and soccer and football coach. Before becoming a teacher, Dr. Koch completed her coursework by internationally student teaching in a small school south of Christchurch, New Zealand. The majority of her childhood was spent in Marietta, Georgia and Brentwood, Tennessee where she graduated high school. Currently Dr. Koch resides in Shawnee with her husband, Chris who is an ECU graduate and former baseball player, and stepson, Chance.
